Circulation Service

The Bro. Paul Meuten Library Circulation Service facilitates the borrowing, returning, and renewal of library materials for all bona fide users.

Borrowing Process

In-Person
  1. Search for the desired book using the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) or locate it directly from the shelves.
  2. Proceed to the Circulation Desk and present the book along with your school ID.
  3. Fill out the Book Borrower’s Card located at the back of each book.
  4. The librarian will process the transaction and stamp the due date on the slip inside each book.
  5. You may request a transaction receipt for your records.
Online
  1. Search for the book you wish to borrow using the library’s Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).
  2. Contact us or send a message to @BPM.Library with the complete details of the book (title, author, call number).
  3. The library will prepare the requested book. You will receive a confirmation message once the items are ready for pick-up.

Circulation Rules

  • Please ensure your account is in good standing before borrowing materials.
  • Loan privileges may vary depending on user category:

Maximum number of books allowed to be borrowed 5 5 5 10

  • Overdue books must be returned to the library.
  • Users with overdue books may be temporarily restricted from borrowing or renewing materials.
  • Lost or damaged items must be reported immediately and may require replacement or payment.

Book Returns

  • Return borrowed books to the Circulation Desk on or before the due date.
  • Late returns may incur fines based on your user category.
  • Users are responsible for the condition of returned items; damaged or lost materials may be subject to replacement fees.

Renewals

  • Borrowed books may be renewed up to two times, provided they are not overdue or reserved by another user.
  • Renewal Methods:
    • On-site: Visit the Circulation Desk during library hours.
    • Online: Log in to your OPAC account or contact us for renewal instructions and confirmation.

OPAC Account

  • Users may view their borrowing history, due dates, and renewal status via the library’s Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).
  • For assistance, feel free to contact the Circulation Desk or message us directly through our official channels.
